PESHE Support

Programmatic Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Evaluation

As part of systems engineering, PTI provides assistance to Program Managers (PMs) in environmental planning to prevent environment, safety, and occupational health (ESOH) hazards. We understand that the PESHE is a PM tool and a living document and PTI staff have vast experience in the preparation of PESHEs to include a strategy for integrating ESOH considerations into the systems engineering process; identification of ESOH responsibilities; an approach to identify ESOH hazards, and manage those ESOH hazards where they cannot be avoided; a method for tracking progress in managing ESOH risks; a schedule for completing National Environmental Policy Act/Executive Order NEPA/E.O.) 12114 documentation; and Identification of hazardous materials (hazmat) used in the system and in turn planning for their demilitarization/ disposal.
PTI has prepared numerous PESHEs including:
  • Interim Armored Vehicle
  • Interim High-Mobility Engineer Excavator (IHMEE)
  • Logistics Support Vessel (LSV)
  • Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV)
  • Comanche helicopter (RAH 66)
  • Airborne/Air Mobile Scraper and Water Distribution System (ASWDS)
  • Wolverine – Heavy Assault Bridge
  • Future Combat System
